| OUR BASE |
We are based in the thriving market town of Castle Douglas (pop.3600) which has its own loch - Carlingwark Loch. Castle Douglas is easy to reach, being by-passed by the A75 roadway, the main route between Carlisle in England and Stranraer, gateway to N. Ireland. The coast (Solway Firth) is only seven miles away to the south and the Galloway Hills, including the Galloway Forest Park is a similar distance to the north. The area is becoming increasingly popular with cycling groups. Most of our tours begin from our base in Castle Douglas. We would normally arrange to meet our customers once they have settled into their arranged accommodation. A welcome tour briefing is then carried out when the tour pack including map(s), itinerary and tourist leaflets of places on your tour are provided. We are pleased to be associated with Castle Douglas Cycle Centre in Castle Douglas who provide our cycles and ensure a high standard of maintenance. |
